How the calculation works

Pixel dimensions are not fixed until you choose DPI.

Formula: pixels = round((mm / 25.4) x DPI). For A4 at 300 DPI: width = round((210 / 25.4) x 300) = 2480; height = round((297 / 25.4) x 300) = 3508. So A4 at 300 DPI = 2480 x 3508 px.

Source and calculation method

Every value is calculated from the ISO standard.

Source type
Calculated from ISO 216
A4 is 210 x 297 mm by definition (ISO 216 / DIN 476). Pixel values are derived using the inch = 25.4 mm exact conversion.
Calculation method
Rounded to whole pixels
pixels = round((mm / 25.4) x DPI). Calculated browser-side. Same formula across modes.
